A cisco eszközök csak saját, vagy a cisco által bevizsgált sfp-t támogat, egyéb gyártmányok nem működnek. Egyéb gyártó által alkamazott sfp esetén a port errdisable módba vált át, és letiltódik. Mód van nem supportált sfp használatára is. A Cisco IOS ezeket a parancsokat nem listázza nekünk.
